CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to Stained Glass will teach participants aged 16 and over how to cut glass, solder, and use tools & materials safely to create an 8” x10” window. Participants will have a choice of patterns which work with abstract and geometric designs using the copper foil method of construction. Glass art created in class will be ready to hang and appropriate for indoor or outdoor display.
Coffee, tea, water and light snacks will be provided. Lunch is available from local businesses. This class will be downstairs in our wonderful classroom, and involve a great deal of standing; participants should be able to stand for the better part of the day.
PLEASE NOTE: Students must be 16 or over and have glass cutting skills prior to the class.
LIST OF MATERIALS/SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
* Safety glasses
* Apron, crew neck shirt, long sleeve shirt, or old work shirt,
* Closed toed, comfortable shoes,
* Face mask,
* Hair tie to secure long hair

Deborah Wogan has been a stained glass artist for 45 years; designing and creating traditional & non-traditional custom stained glass art, as well as fused glass art and dichroic glass jewelry.
