11/14 - Beginning Stained Glass Sun Catchers and Wind Chimes: Easy & Fun

WHEN: Thurs., November 14th
TIME: 12:00pm to 6:00pm
COST: $45.00 Members, $60.00 Non-members

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This class offers participants a choice of simple patterns to be completed in an afternoon. Participants will learn how to cut glass, copper foil, solder, and hang or display their glass creation. All materials and use of tools are included to create a sun catcher approximately 5” inches in size, using the copper foil method of construction. Participants will leave with a completed suncatcher, ready to hang and appropriate for indoor or outdoor display.

Coffee, tea, water and light snacks will be provided. Lunch is available from local businesses. This class will be downstairs in our wonderful classroom, and involve a great deal of standing; participants should be able to stand for the better part of the day.

LIST OF MATERIALS/SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
* Safety glasses
* Apron, crew neck shirt, long sleeve shirt, or old work shirt,
* Closed toed, comfortable shoes,
* Face mask,
* Hair tie to secure long hair

PLEASE NOTE: Students must be 16 or over and have glass cutting skills prior to the class.

Deborah Wogan has been a stained glass artist for 45 years; designing and creating traditional & non-traditional custom stained glass art, as well as fused glass art and dichroic glass jewelry.
